Outreach

I believe all hierarchies and structures of power should be critically questioned. I dream of a world where all systems of oppression can be dismantled. Academia itself is one such system, with issues at various levels.

Although I see the limits of changing a problematic system from the inside, and I am trying to think of new ways in which to apply an anti-authoritarian lens to academia (if you have ideas, or want to think about this together, get in touch!), I have been part of some initiatives to try and level some aspects of systemic oppression in logic and formal philosophy.

In December 2024, I co-organised the Women in PLEXUS Workshop, held at the University of Turin.

From 2022 to 2024, I ideated and organised the LogIn Project, a podcast amplifying underrepresented voices in logic and formal philosophy. Together with collaborators, I interviewed researchers from marginalised groups in philosophy and talked with them about their research and their experiences navigating academia. I also organised a workshop linked to the project, held at KCL, which focused on logic and formal philosophy from an intersectional feminist perspective.*

In 2021 I participated in the outreach video series Lógica MX, with a video on An introduction to hyperintensional logics.

* I am aware of the fact that Spotify should be boycotted: if possible, in the future I will make the episodes available on another platform. Also, the website for this project used to be hosted on WiX, and I took it down because of the necessity to boycott WiX as well.
